Asante Kotoko have confirmed the signing of Ghanaian winger Johnson Owusu Oppong on a two-year contract ahead of the 2025/26 season.
The skillful and versatile attacker brings a wealth of experience both locally and internationally. Oppong was instrumental in Dreams FC’s remarkable journey to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup, where he consistently impressed with his pace and creativity on the flanks.
The 27-year-old also boasts considerable European experience, having spent four seasons with Portuguese outfit C.S. Marítimo, followed by stints with FC Zlín in the Czech Republic and KF Kukësi in Albania.
Oppong’s arrival strengthens Kotoko’s attacking options as the Porcupine Warriors prepare for their return to the CAF Confederation Cup after a two-year absence from continental competition. The club will be counting on his speed, flair, and experience as they aim for success on both domestic and African fronts.
