Asante Kotoko’s promising young talent, Bernard Somuah, is on the brink of joining Spanish top-flight side Celta Vigo, according to exclusive reports from Ghanaian media.
The 18-year-old winger caught the attention of Asante Kotoko with a standout trial performance before the start of last season. He made a significant impact in his debut season, earning a spot in the Ghana U-20 national team.
Ghanaian journalist Godfred Akoto Boafo reveals that Celta Vigo has taken notice of Somuah’s impressive performances in Kumasi. The transfer is expected to be finalized in the coming days on a season-long loan with an option for a permanent deal.
Prior to his stint with Asante Kotoko, Somuah scored 22 goals for Afigya Liberty in the lower-tier league. He has continued to impress during the pre-season with Kotoko, including scoring against Bibiani Goldstars and performing well in a match against rivals Hearts of Oak.
