Head coach of Hearts of Oak, Didi Dramani, expressed frustration after his side were held to a goalless draw by Heart of Lions in the Ghana Premier League on Friday.
The Phobians, who came into the fixture without a win in their previous three matches, were eager to return to winning ways but failed to capitalize on a number of clear-cut opportunities across both halves.
Despite dominating large spells of the game and creating several scoring chances, Hearts of Oak were unable to find the breakthrough, settling for a point at full-time.
Speaking after the match, Dramani admitted his side lacked the cutting edge needed to convert their chances into goals.
“I think in the first half we controlled the game the way we wanted, and we came close with the chances we created. We had about three opportunities that could have given us the lead,” he said.
“In the second half, we also created two chances that could have resulted in goals. If we had made the right decisions in those key moments, at least we should have scored.”
The result leaves Hearts of Oak in third position on the league table, but their place in the top four remains under threat as the Ghana Premier League season approaches a crucial stage at the end of Week 26.
