The Black Stars of Ghana came from behind to beat Mali 2-1 on Thursday night in a 2026 World Cup qualifier in Bamako.

-Ati Zigi 8

Pulled a couple of good saves to keep Ghana in the game. His posture throughout the game was great and he commanded his defense well.

Alidu Seidu 6
Was not bad on the day made some clearances at the back for the Black Stars

Alexander Djiku 7

Was superb in the heart of defense in the three back formation. Went for crunch tackles and held the Malians at bay

Mohammed Salisu

Was efficient at the back as he played on the left side of the back three. Had to cover for Gideon Mensah

Gideon Mensah 4
Gradually becoming a liability in the Black Stars, was responsible for Mali’s goal.

Tariq Lamptey 7
Superb in going forward as a wingback. One of Ghana’s brightest spots on the day.

Abdul Salis 5
Laboured for most part of the game could not exert his influence in the game

Thomas Partey 5
Aside one key pass in the first half, he was virtually lost in the game.

Mohammed Kudus 6
Looks very tired and lethargic but made a couple of good runs with the ball.

Ernest Nuamah 7

Was not much in the game but did what is expected of bim by scoring the equalizer when he had the chance

Antoine Semenyo 6
Made some good runs into the Malians vital area but squandered all the chances.

Subs

Jordan Ayew 7.5

Superb on the day when he came on as a sub. Scored the vital 94th minute winner to give Ghana the three maximum points

Elisha Owusu 6

Brought a bit of stability in midfield when he came on. He protected the back four well
