Istanbul Başakşehir defender Joseph Attamah Laweh is back to the national team ahead of the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations after a long absence.
The tough-tackling defender has been very instrumental for Başakşehir as they are currently second on the Turkish Super Lig table.
Attamah, will be playing for the Black Stars for the first time since 2018 when he featured in their double- header friendlies against Japan and Iceland.
The former Tema Youth defender who already has 4 caps for the Black Stars of Ghana will be hoping to replicate his fine form at club to the National team as Coach Kwasi Appiah and his side hope to end the country’s 37-years continental title drought.
Attamah who is a versatile defender can play in central defence, right back and can even slot in as a defensive midfielder.
Ghana will begin their pre-tournament camping in Dubai on June 1.
