Ghanaian players Jordan Ayew and Elisha Owusu are set to arrive in the country tonight in preparation for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers against Angola and Niger.
These two players are the last to join the Black Stars’ camp ahead of the crucial qualification matches.
Henry Asante Twum, the Communications Director for the Ghana Football Association (GFA), confirmed the players’ arrival, saying, “There are 22 players in camp. The only two absentees are Jordan Ayew and Elisha Owusu. They will arrive tonight at 10 pm and join us here in Kumasi.”
The Black Stars have already conducted their second training session today as they gear up for the first of the two matches, which will be against Angola during the September international break.
The team is scheduled to hold a final training session at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium tomorrow before facing Angola on Thursday.
