Azerbaijani Premier League club Qarabag has officially announced the signing of Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Addai from Spanish second-tier club Alcorcón.
The 23-year-old has inked a three-year contract with Qarabag, which will keep him at the club until 2027.
Qarabag expressed their excitement over the acquisition in an official statement on their website: “Our club has completed its latest transfer: negotiations with Spain’s Alcorcón have concluded positively, and attacking midfielder Emmanuel Addai has been signed.”
The club further detailed Addai’s previous stints, noting his time at Alcorcón from 2022 to 2024 and his earlier experience with Bobigny in France during the 2021-2022 season.
Alcorcón also released a statement acknowledging Addai’s contributions: “We would like to thank Emmanuel Addai for his commitment, effort, and attitude throughout his time with us. This will always be your home. Good luck with your new challenge, Addai!”
Addai is expected to bring dynamism and creativity to Qarabag’s attacking lineup as the club looks to strengthen its squad for both domestic and international competitions.
