Abdul Rahman Baba showcased his prowess as he scored his inaugural goal and provided an assist for PAOK Thessaloniki in their triumph over OFI Crete during the Greek Super League round 16 at Toumbas Stadio.
Baba Rahman’s impactful contributions occurred within a two-minute span. Firstly, on the 39th minute, he delivered a precise assist to Kiril Despodov, setting the stage for his team to take the lead. Shortly thereafter, on the 41st minute, Baba Rahman found the net himself, securing a comfortable 2-0 lead for his side going into halftime.
His dual involvement in goals played a pivotal role in PAOK Thessaloniki’s resounding 4-0 victory, propelling them to the top of the league table with 38 points.
Despite his stellar performance, Baba Rahman did not make the final 27-man squad for Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023 campaign in Ivory Coast. The player opted to focus on gaining full fitness to be ready for national duty in the near future.
Ghana has initiated its training sessions in preparation for the upcoming tournament, commencing on Tuesday in Kumasi.
