Real Tamale United (RTU) clinched a crucial victory on Wednesday, breaking a five-game losing streak in the Ghana Premier League with a narrow win against reigning champions Medeama Sporting Club.
The match, held at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium, saw RTU take an early lead in the 9th minute when Fuseini Mustapha scored an impressive equalizer.
This win not only halts RTU’s recent string of defeats but also propels them out of the relegation zone, placing them in the 15th position on the league table.
While RTU celebrates this vital triumph, Medeama SC faces setbacks in their quest to defend the Ghana Premier League title, now standing at the 11th position with three outstanding games left to play.
