Majeed Ashimeru and Kamal Sowah have made the Black Stars’ 55-man provisional squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
While Ashimeru makes a return to the Ghana team, Sowah earns a first call-up following a blistering run for Club Brugge this season.
Ashimeru featured in five games for Anderlecht in the Europa Conference League while also being involved in four goals in eight league games.
Sowah on the other hand has been instrumental in Club Brugge’s European run as they progressed to the knockout stages of the UEFA Champions League for the very first time since their establishment.
The two players have been in a rich vein of from for their respective leagues and have been rewarded for their persistence with a call-up.
