Bernard Mensah continued his impressive form in the Saudi Pro League, scoring twice to lead Al Tai to a comeback victory over Al Fateh, bolstering their survival hopes.
The former Ghana international has been a key player for Al Tai since his transfer from Kayserispor last summer, netting his 13th and 14th goals of the season.
The match began with a bang on Thursday evening at the Prince Abdul Aziz bin Musa’ed Stadium, as Cape Verdean forward Djaniny put the visitors ahead in just four minutes. The hosts quickly equalized eight minutes later through defender Robert Bauer.
Mensah gave Al Tai the lead for the first time in the 83rd minute, heading in from an Andrei Cordea corner. He sealed the victory with a stunning solo effort, dribbling past four defenders before slotting the ball past the Al Fateh goalkeeper.
With 14 goals and an assist in 28 matches, Mensah has established himself as one of the top African talents in the Saudi Pro League this season.
