Legon Cities Football Club is gearing up to face Medeama Sporting Club in the upcoming fixtures of the Ghana Premier League.

Following the conclusion of the first round of midweek games in the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season, all eyes are now on Week 9 of the campaign.

All nine midweek matches were completed successfully, with the last two taking place on Thursday, November 2.

This weekend, all 18 participating clubs will partake in their respective matches, striving to secure the valuable three points at stake.

Among the many games scheduled for Sunday, one of the clashes to watch is Legon Cities FC against Medeama SC.

Recent Form:

Legon Cities FC is returning to Accra after an unexpected loss to Samartex FC in the midweek fixture. The team has shown promise since the start of the new campaign but has struggled to maintain consistency.

In their three matches thus far, Legon Cities FC has recorded three wins, two draws, and three losses. They currently hold the 7th position on the league table with 11 points, trailing the league leaders by five points.

While their performance has been commendable, the team needs to find more consistency to improve their league standing.

Their opponents for this weekend, Medeama Sporting Club, are the reigning Ghana Premier League champions. Similar to the previous season, they have experienced an unpredictable start to the new league campaign.

In their recent midweek match, they suffered a 3-1 defeat to Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium. Following this setback, they are preparing to face Legon Cities in the capital during the weekend.

Medeama SC has held the upper hand in their recent encounters with Legon Cities FC, securing four victories in their last five meetings, while their opponents managed one win.

Legon Cities will need a strong performance to secure a victory.

The Legon Cities FC vs. Medeama Sporting Club match is scheduled to be held at the El Wak Stadium.

This fixture is set to take place on Sunday, November 5, with kickoff at 15:00 GMT.
