Black Maidens head coach Joe Nana Adarkwa has stressed the need for Ghana to approach their Round of 16 encounter against Argentina with caution as they seek to advance in the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup.
Adarkwa acknowledged the high stakes of Wednesday’s knockout fixture, warning that defeat would bring Ghana’s campaign to an end and send the team home.
“If we lose this game, we are coming back home, so we have to be careful,” he said.
The Ghana coach’s remarks underline the importance of discipline, concentration and careful decision-making as the Black Maidens prepare to face Argentina in a win-or-go-home contest.
With a place in the quarter-finals at stake, Ghana will need to deliver a strong performance to keep their World Cup hopes alive.
