In their recent friendly encounter, the Black Princesses of Ghana were unable to secure a victory as they played out a goalless draw against Paris Saint Germain’s U19 women’s team.
The Ghana U20 female team embarked on a seven-day training program in Paris as part of their preparations for the upcoming 2024 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia. During their stay, the team underwent rigorous training sessions, utilizing the facilities at the renowned Clairefontaine Academy in France.
This trip to Paris is a result of a collaborative effort between the Ghana Football Association and the French Embassy, aimed at enhancing the development and readiness of the Black Princesses for the global tournament.
As the team concludes their training stint in Paris, they are set to return to Ghana this week to continue their preparations for the World Cup under the guidance of Coach Yussif Basigi. Despite the draw, Coach Basigi expressed satisfaction with the team’s progress and remains optimistic about their performance in Colombia.
With the goal of surpassing their previous achievements, the Black Princesses are determined to make a significant impact at the upcoming World Cup, aiming to advance beyond the group stage for the first time in their history.
