Princess Marfo has completed a move to Dutch women’s top-flight club PSV Vrouwen, becoming the latest Ghanaian player to continue her career in the Netherlands.

The 22-year-old Black Queens forward signed a three-year contract with the Dutch giants after leaving Danish club FC Nordsjaelland, where she developed into one of Ghana’s most promising female footballers. Marfo made history as the first female graduate of the renowned Right to Dream Academy.

Before returning to Europe, the winger also had a short stint in the United States with Bay FC. She now begins a new chapter with PSV as the club prepares for the upcoming season.

Speaking after sealing the transfer, Marfo expressed excitement about joining the Dutch outfit, noting that she has closely followed football in the Netherlands for years because several Ghanaian players have featured there. She added that PSV’s attacking style of play matches her strengths and said she was impressed by the warm reception and excellent facilities at the club.

Marfo is expected to link up with her new teammates when pre-season training begins on June 29.

PSV Technical Manager Marco Knirsch described the Ghanaian international as a determined and hardworking player who brings energy, versatility, and a winning mentality to the team. He noted that her ability to operate on the wings as well as in attack would provide the squad with additional options and strengthen the team’s ambitions for the future.
