Black Satellites head coach Maxwell Konadu and his technical team are set to put the national U-20 side through its final preparations ahead of the 2026 WAFU B U-20 Championship with a friendly match against Semper Fi.
The Black Satellites will face the Division One League side at the Accra Sports Stadium as part of their final build-up before departing for Yamoussoukro, Côte d’Ivoire, for the regional competition.
The technical team has been intensifying preparations in recent weeks, focusing on tactical drills, physical conditioning and evaluating player combinations as they seek to assemble the strongest possible squad for the tournament.
The friendly encounter is expected to provide the coaching staff with a final opportunity to assess the players in a competitive environment before announcing the travelling squad.
Ghana has been drawn in Group B alongside Nigeria, Burkina Faso and Togo, setting up what is anticipated to be a highly competitive group stage campaign.
The WAFU B U-20 Championship will serve as the qualifying tournament for the 2027 CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, which Ghana is scheduled to host.
