On Wednesday night, Chris Hughton, the head coach of the Black Stars, continued his player scouting efforts in the Ghana Premier League.
He was in attendance at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium to watch the match between Asante Kotoko and King Faisal.
After leading the Black Stars to victory against Angola and securing a draw in the away fixture in the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, Hughton has been working hard to assemble the best possible squad for the team’s next assignment.
He intends to continue scouting Ghanaian players in the Premier League over the next few weeks and monitor the performances of Ghanaian players abroad.
Hughton was also present at the Accra Sports Stadium last weekend to watch Great Olympics’ clash with Berekum Chelsea and when Black Meteors defeated Algeria in the U23 AFCON qualifier in Kumasi a few weeks ago.
His goal is to identify players who could potentially help the national team.
