Ghana’s head coach Otto Addo and his Borussia Dortmund U18 team booked their place in the 2021-22 Germany DFB Pokal Youth league on Saturday afternoon.
The Dortmund youth team left it late in their 2-0 away win at Freiburg to book a place in the final which will be held in Berlin.
Bradley Fink’s 115th minute strike gave the Black and Yellows the lead after a goalless 90 minutes of football in Freiburg.
Abu-Bekir Ömer El-Zein, the left-back of Dortmund’s Youth scored the second for the visitors inside the 120th minute mark with a beautiful strike inside the box to send Dortmund to the final.
Otto Addo who is the head of development at the club as usual was on the bench together with the team’s head coach from Denmark, Mike Tullberg to guide the Yellow and Blacks to the final.
The Borussia Dortmund Youth team will face the winner of Bayern München or VfB Stuttgart in the final at the Karl-Liebknecht-Stadion on May 20.
