Ghanaian forward Emmanuel Boateng opened his goal account for New England Revolution FC in the 2022 Major League Soccer in America on Saturday evening against his favorite opponent Real Salt Lake FC.
The Ghanaian forward scored the opening goal of the match to make it 1-0 to the home team deep into first half additional time period with a cool finish in the snow.
The visitors failed to clear their lines following a free kick from the right side of attack into the box and the Ghanaian was on hunt to slot home the game’s opening goal from close range into the bottom right corner.
American International Jozy Altidore scored brilliantly in the second half after 62 minutes to make the score 2-0 to the hosts who were cruising to victory.
Twelve minutes to end preceeding, the home team collapse and gave away a goal to boost the away team’s confidence going into the last 10 minutes of the match.
After Sergio Cardozo’s 78th minutes goal, Justen Glad and Tate Schmitt scored on the 88th and 90+3 minutes respectively to steal all three points for the away team at the end of the frenetic game which ended in a dramatic 3-2 win to the away team.
The 28-year-old Ghanaian forward got a rating of 8.0 despite playing just an hour of the 90 minutes of football.
