Ghana international Kojo Oppong Peprah has arrived in Istanbul to complete his transfer to Turkish giants Fenerbahce from French Ligue 1 side OGC Nice.
The 22-year-old centre-back is set to join Fenerbahce in a deal reportedly worth more than €10 million, with reports indicating that the Turkish club reached an agreement with Nice for the Ghanaian defender.
Oppong Peprah’s move comes after a breakthrough season in France, where he established himself as one of Nice’s most reliable defenders following his arrival from Swedish club IFK Norrköping in 2025.
Impressive 2025/26 Season at Nice
The Ghanaian defender enjoyed an outstanding debut campaign in Ligue 1, making 43 appearances across all competitions, including 40 starts. He also scored one goal during the season while helping Nice compete domestically and in European competition.
In Ligue 1, Oppong Peprah recorded 2,428 minutes, scored one goal, provided no assists, and collected four yellow cards, underlining his importance in Nice’s defensive setup.

Oppong Peprah has also become part of Ghana’s senior national team setup. He was included in Ghana’s squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup and featured during the tournament, including appearances against England and Croatia.
His performances have increased his reputation as one of Ghana’s emerging defensive talents, with his combination of strength, pace and composure making him an attractive prospect for top European clubs.
The move to Fenerbahce represents another major step in Oppong Peprah’s career as he prepares to compete in the Turkish Super Lig and European competitions with one of Turkey’s biggest clubs.
