Ghana’s Black Stars will depart Ghana today for Libya, where they will prepare for a crucial second-leg encounter against Sudan in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.
As part of their qualification campaign, the Black Stars faced Sudan in a doubleheader. Despite their efforts to secure a much-needed victory, the first leg, held at the Accra Sports Stadium on Thursday, ended in a goalless draw.
Though the Black Stars dominated the match, they were unable to break the deadlock.
This result has placed head coach Otto Addo and his team under increasing pressure, as they currently sit third in Group F with just two points.
The upcoming second leg has now become vital for the Black Stars, who are determined to claim their first win of the qualifiers.
Before traveling, the team held their final training session at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday, October 12.
Once they arrive in Libya, they will conduct a mandatory training session on Monday at the Martyrs of February Stadium, in preparation for the match on Tuesday afternoon.
