Lawrence Ati-Zigi, the goalkeeper for Ghana’s national football team, the Black Stars, was seen buying roasted plantain with Switzerland’s Ambassador to Ghana, Ms Simone Giger, in Accra.
The two were seen enjoying themselves and sharing smiles as they made their purchase by the roadside.
Ms Giger, who has 18 years of experience in international cooperation, diplomacy, and management, was appointed as the Switzerland Ambassador to Ghana in 2022.
Ati-Zigi, who plays for St. Gallen in Switzerland, is currently in Ghana on holiday during the international break.
He recently played for the Black Stars in their matches against Angola, keeping one clean sheet in a 1-0 win and a 1-1 draw.
