Ghana’s Black Stars have recalled several players to the squad for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against Côte d’Ivoire and The Gambia.
Defender Nathaniel Adjei is among the players returning to the national team after almost a year away. The Lorient defender has earned his recall following impressive performances in the French Ligue 1.
Ibrahim Osman has also returned to the Black Stars setup as head coach Carlos Queiroz continues to strengthen his squad ahead of the qualifiers.
Sassuolo midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana is another player making a return to the national team, giving Queiroz an additional option in midfield.
The squad also includes first-time or fresh call-ups for Jan Gyamerah of SV Elversberg and Ronald Donkor of New York Red Bulls, who have been rewarded for their performances at club level.
The returns come alongside the inclusion of Mohammed Kudus, Alexander Djiku and captain Jordan Ayew, while Thomas Partey is unavailable due to injury concerns.
Ghana will face Côte d’Ivoire on September 24 before hosting The Gambia on September 29 at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The Black Stars will then travel to Morocco for an international friendly against the Atlas Lions on October 4.
