Ghana striker Prince Adu Kwabena on Monday 13th July, 2026, paid a historic courtesy visit to Nananom and the people of Banda Ahenkro.

Viktoria Plzeň striker’s historic visit to the Bandaman Royal Palace comes following his return from the 2026 FIFA World Cup where he helped Ghana reach the round of 32 phase of the biggest football tournament.

The former Bechem United striker who was welcomed by thousands of people in his hometown Banda Ahenkro, took the opportunity to present a signed autograph jersey to Nananom at the Palace.
Adu Kwabena who became famous after being denied a clear penalty in Ghana’s group L second match against England, was beautifully presented with Citation from the Kingsmen in appreciation of his contribution to the Black Stars World Cup campaign.

In response to the rousing home welcome by the people of Banda Ahenkro, an excited Adu Kwabena promised to do more for the Black Stars whenever offered the chance to wear Ghana shirt to hoist the good image of both his country and homeland.
Ghana exited the World Cup after suffering narrowly 1:0 loss against Colombia in their round of 32 clash in Kansas City.
