The Black Stars will participate in a four-nation tournament in England this summer as part of preparations for the September international window.

Despite missing out on the 2025 AFCON, Ghana has impressed in the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, currently leading Group I with a five-point cushion after six matches. The Black Stars delivered a dominant 5-0 win over Chad in Accra last Friday before securing a crucial 3-0 victory against second-placed Madagascar in Al Hoceima, Morocco, strengthening their qualification hopes.

Speaking after the win over Madagascar, Black Stars Management Committee Chairman Randy Abbey confirmed the team’s participation in the upcoming tournament, highlighting its importance in maintaining momentum during the international break.

“Fortunately, the technical team and management will have the opportunity to continue working on the team. In June, we don’t have qualifiers, so we will be playing in a four-nation friendly tournament in England. It will be an opportunity for the coaches to further develop the team,” Abbey said.

“We are also hoping that some of the injured players will return and get a chance to play before the September qualifiers,” he added.

Ghana will resume their World Cup qualifying campaign on September 1, 2025, with a crucial away fixture against Chad in Matchday 7.
