English Championship side Blackburn Rovers have reportedly offered £1.75 million to secure the services of Ghanaian striker Brandon Thomas-Asante, according to English media reports.
The 26-year-old, currently playing for Coventry City, has caught the attention of Blackburn, who are searching for a reliable forward after missing out on Southampton striker Ben Brereton Díaz, now poised to join Sheffield United.
Sky Sports reports that Thomas-Asante, a former West Bromwich Albion player, is now Blackburn’s top priority. The Ewood Park outfit are determined to strengthen their attacking options during the January transfer window.
Coventry City, however, have yet to respond to the bid, with Thomas-Asante under contract until June 2028.
Despite his modest return of one goal and one assist in 25 Championship appearances this season, Blackburn view him as a valuable addition to their squad.
At the international level, Thomas-Asante has earned one cap for Ghana since committing to the Black Stars, further raising his profile in the transfer market.
