Sportsworldghana.com reported on Wednesday about David Akologo Kifo‘s maiden call-up by the Bolivian National team.

Fast forward to Saturday night, David Akologo, 27, who plays for Aurora in the Bolivian Division Professional has been handed a call-up by Ghana.

Born in Accra, the towering goalkeeper moved to Bolivia in 2018 from Mighty Jets and has since played for clubs like Arauco Prado, Cochabamba FC, Dawn or Club Deportivo Aurora, Enrique Happ, FATIC and currently with Dawn or Club Deportivo Aurora for his second stint.

The experienced goalkeeper was expected to fight for the Bolivian number-one slot but has been given a maiden call-up by Otto Addo.

Ghana has a problem in the goalkeeping department and Akologo is expected to help solve it as he is highly rated in the Bolivian League.

Ghana will play against Uganda and Nigeria in Morocco in friendly games.
