Austria-born Ghanaian defender Samson Baidoo is attracting huge interest from German side Borussia Dortmund as the summer transfer window approaches.

The 21-year-old centre-back joined French outfit, RC Lens last summer has since established himself as a key member of the team. Since the commencement of the campaign, Baidoo has racked up 20 appearances, scoring two goals and providing two assists.

Despite sidelined with injury, the Bundesliga giants has set sights on securing his signature as a possible replacement for Emre Can, who faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines and Niklas Süle, who could depart the club at the end of the season.

His outstanding performance has not gone unnoticed, with a hosts of clubs in Europe including AC Milan, Liverpool FC, Manchester City FC, Crystal Palace FC, and West Ham United eyeing a move for the defender

Meanwhile, the French Ligue 1 outfit are reportedly unwilling to cash in on the enterprising defender and could only consider offers in the region of €45 million.

With Baidoo under contract until 2030, Dortmund will have to spend huge to secure the signature of the talented defender.
