AFC Bournemouth are reportedly open to accepting offers for Ghanaian striker Antoine Semenyo, with Liverpool emerging as a potential suitor, according to Football Insider.
Semenyo’s stellar performances in the ongoing Premier League season have caught the attention of top European clubs, including Arsenal, Newcastle United, and Tottenham Hotspur. However, Liverpool have been heavily linked with the 24-year-old as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, whose future at Anfield remains uncertain.
Pete O’Rourke, senior correspondent for Football Insider, revealed on the Inside Track podcast that Bournemouth are prepared to let Semenyo leave in the summer if he opts for a move. However, the Cherries are reportedly unwilling to entertain offers during the January transfer window to avoid disrupting their campaign.
Liverpool, meanwhile, are prioritizing reinforcements in other areas in the short term, making a mid-season deal unlikely.
Semenyo has been one of Bournemouth’s standout performers under head coach Andoni Iraola, contributing four goals and one assist in 12 league appearances this season. His pace, physicality, and goal-scoring ability have made him a valuable asset for the club and an attractive prospect for Premier League giants.
Despite missing Bournemouth’s recent 3-2 loss to Brentford, Semenyo is expected to return to action on Thursday when the Cherries host Tottenham Hotspur at the Vitality Stadium.
With growing interest from top clubs, Semenyo’s future remains a topic of speculation as the summer transfer window approaches.
