Hasaacas FC star Alex Kofi Murphy continued his fine start of the second round with two goals in their 3-0 win on Match Day 17 against Future Stars over the weekend in the Division One League.
The talented attacking midfielder was the toast of the fans prompting most of the good things on the day in the game played at the Sekondi Gyandu Park.
His outstanding display coupled with the brace saw him adjudged Man of the Match in the game.
Kwabena Baidoo scored the game’s opener when he found himself at the right place to connect to a strike by Issaka Abubakari which was parried by the goalkeeper; his second in 4 games.
Patrick Odoom was brought down in the box on the 42nd minute and when the Referee signaled a penalty kick; Alex Kofi Murphy stepped up to win the battle of wills by wrong footing the goalkeeper to get the game’s second.
In the second half Alex Kofi Murphy controlled well a pass from Kwabena Baidoo before unleashing a thunderbolt to the bottom left corner to make the game 3-0, his second of the game.
Alex has shone in Hasaacas’ last 2 games winning MVPs on both occasions.
Alex Kofi Murphy has scored two goals and also provided three assists in 13 matches for his side this season.
Additionally, he has clinched three MVP awards.
