Brandon Thomas-Asante, the Coventry City forward, has made it clear that his main goal with the Black Stars is to help Ghana win trophies, not just to be part of the squad.
The 25-year-old attacker made his Black Stars debut in October 2024 and has since featured in seven matches, scoring one goal. Although he has not yet secured a regular starting place, Thomas-Asante remains determined to make a strong impact whenever given the opportunity.
He says his focus is on contributing meaningfully to the team by scoring goals, providing assists, and helping the Black Stars achieve success on the international stage. According to him, the expectations that come with playing for Ghana are high, but the players are ready to rise to the challenge.
At club level, Thomas-Asante has been in impressive form for Coventry City this season, scoring 10 goals and registering three assists in 17 appearances. His performances have strengthened his desire to translate that form into success for the national team.
Despite currently nursing an injury, the forward is hopeful of returning strongly and earning a place in Ghana’s squad for the 2026 World Cup, which will be hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
