Black Stars assistant coach, George Boateng, thinks the team will be able to gauge where they are after playing a star-studded Brazil team in a friendly on Friday.
Ghana will face Brazil in Le Havre in the penultimate international break ahead of the World Cup to be staged in Qatar in November.
With both teams booking a spot at the Mundial, the game is expected to be part of their preparation ahead of the tournament.
With Brazil ranked top with regard to the FIFA rankings, Boateng believes the game will help Ghana to know their preparedness for the World Cup.
“For us, it’s beautiful to play these [friendly games]. You’re playing against the world No.1 [in Brazil], what a challenge, what a prospect to look forward to,” he told Joy Sports in an interview.
“As a coach, you want to test yourself against the best but I can also say the players will want to test themselves against the best.
“So playing against Brazil is a game that you don’t need motivation for. You’ll more than motivated to go out there and perform.”
