Ghana international, Abdul Baba Rahman has secured a loan move to English Championship side, Reading for the 2021/22 season.
The left-back has completed a move to English second tier side after finding it difficult to break into the first team at Chelsea. The Ghanaian has put pen to paper on a one-year loan deal which will see him spend the current campaign in the Sky Bet Championship.
“We are very pleased to confirm that left-back Baba Rahman has joined Reading Football Club on a season-long loan from Chelsea, subject to the normal ratification procedures from the relevant football authorities.
“The 27-year-old has represented the Blues in the Premier League and Champions League, as well as bringing with him top-flight experience in Germany, France, Spain and Greece – and now embarks on a new challenge in Berkshire as a Royal!,” an official statement on the website of the club has said.
Baba had a good pre season with the Blues following a good loan spell last season but would have to join compatriot Andy Yiadom at the Championship club this season.
He had previously been with Schalke, Stade Reims and Mallorca
