Abdul Karim Zito, has stepped down from his role as the head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, the club has announced.
The club’s legend’s resignation comes following their elimination from the MTN FA Cup competition.
The Porcupine Warriors were beaten 2:4 on penalties by fellow Premier League club Aduana Stars FC on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Confirming the news, Asante Kotoko said: “Abdul Karim Zito Kabutey has resigned from his role as the head coach of Asante Kotoko Sporting Club with immediate effect,”
The statement added that “Management has accepted the resignation, expressed its appreciation to the coach for his services and wished him the best for the future.”
The club, however, started that the new technical direction of the club will communicated in due course.
