Ernest Nuamah’s anticipated transfer to Fulham is now on the brink of collapse due to unforeseen issues, as reported by renowned football transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano.

The deal, once thought to be nearing completion, has hit a significant snag, casting doubt on the Ghanaian winger’s future with the English club.

Fulham had been working diligently to secure the services of Nuamah, who had also attracted interest from Everton before the Cottagers stepped in. Manager Marco Silva was particularly eager to add the pacey forward to his squad for the upcoming season.

Nuamah’s journey to this point has been eventful. After joining Belgian side RWD Molenbeek on August 30, 2023, he was immediately loaned to French club Lyon for the season. Lyon held a purchase option valued at €25 million, with potential add-ons of €4.5 million. During his loan spell, the talented winger made 29 Ligue 1 appearances, scoring three goals and providing two assists.

On July 7, 2024, Lyon completed Nuamah’s permanent transfer from RWD Molenbeek for a reported fee of €28.5 million. However, despite this, the latest developments indicate that his move to Fulham is now in serious jeopardy, leaving his future uncertain.
