Dutch forward with Ghanaian heritage, Brian Brobbey, has secured a well-deserved spot in Sofascore’s Team of the Week for his stellar performance in the Dutch Eredivisie on match week 19.
Brobbey’s exceptional display included a remarkable brace for Ajax in their 4-2 triumph over Heracles. The young striker, who started for Ajax in the Round 19 clash, played a crucial role throughout the game.
The scoring commenced with Jizz Hornkamp finding the net for Heracles in the 12th minute. However, Brian Brobbey swiftly responded, equalizing for Ajax in the 16th minute.
Ajax continued to dominate, with Steven Berghuis extending their lead to 2-1 in the 55th minute. Brobbey then added to Ajax’s tally with his second goal, making it 3-1 in the 57th minute.
Despite Heracles pulling one back through Mario Engels in the 60th minute, Ajax sealed the victory with Kristian Hlynsson’s goal in the 84th minute.
Brobbey’s stellar season stats include 18 appearances, 13 goals, and four assists in the Dutch top flight. Ajax is set to face league leaders PSV Eindhoven in their upcoming game.
