Brighton & Hove Albion head coach Fabian Hurzeler has revealed that the club will make the best decision for Ghanaian forward Ibrahim Osman as discussions continue over his future.
The Black Stars attacker remains uncertain about his next step at Brighton after spending time on loan at several clubs since joining the Seagulls from Danish side FC Nordsjælland.
Osman has previously gained experience with French club Auxerre, Dutch side Feyenoord, and most recently Championship outfit Birmingham City, where he featured during the second half of last season.
At Birmingham City, the Ghanaian forward made 18 appearances across all competitions, scoring two goals and providing two assists as he continued his development in English football.
The 21-year-old returned to Brighton for pre-season and impressed during the club’s 3-0 victory over AS Roma, putting himself in contention for further opportunities with the Premier League side.
Speaking ahead of Brighton’s pre-season clash against Italian Serie A club Bologna, Hurzeler praised Osman’s progress and insisted the club will carefully assess what is best for both the player and the team.
“I’m also impressed by him so far, so let’s wait how this continues and then we make the best decision for him and for the club,” Hurzeler told The Argus.
