Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Salis Samed has caught the eye of many English Premier League clubs after putting up Grade A performances in the French Ligue 1 for RC Lens since joining them in 2022 from Clermont.
The 23-year-old defensive midfielder has been an integral part of Lens’ midfield in the last two years.
Brighton, Wolves and Fulham are monitoring the Ghanaian who is under a long-term contract with the Ligue 1 side until 2028.
The English Premier League clubs will need to pay a huge sum of money before securing the wonderful midfielder’s signature in the 2024 Summer. He could be signed in the Summer transfer depending on how Lens negotiates with the English clubs and their willingness to let the player leave the club.
Born in Accra, Ghana, Salis Samed graduated from the JMG Academy in 2021 and has developed into one of the best defensive midfielders in the French Ligie 1 in a space of 2 and a half years.
Salis Samed’s partnership with the Ivorian powerhouse Seko Fofana was one of the best midfield duo in the European top 5 leagues in the 2022-23 season helping them to finish second in the Ligue 1.
Salis Samed was part of the Ghana team in the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the just-ended 2023 AFCON.
