Ghanaian goalie, Richard Ofori saved a spot kick in the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final second leg game against Tanzania giant Simba SC on Sunday evening in Johannesburg.
The 26-year-old Ghana deputy captain kept a clean sheet in the CAF Confederation Cup quarter-final clash against the Tanzanian giant to help his team to secure qualification into the semi-final.
The first half of the match ended goalless despite the home team creating numerous good goal scoring opportunities.
Ghanaian forward Kwame Peprah scored the only goal for Orlando Pirates FC in their Confederation Cup win over Simba SC at the Orlando Stadium on Sunday evening.
The former Kumasi King Faisal FC captain scored the only goal for the Black and Whites outfit as they drew level on aggregate against the Tanzanian club.
In the second half of the match, Peprah headed home the all important equalizer for the Bucs as they beat Simba 1-0 to make it 1-1 on aggregate.
The game traveled to penalty shoot-outs and Pirates won 4-3 to progress to the semi-final of the 2021-22 CAF Confederation Cup competition.
Ofori saved the first penalty of the shoot-outs to give his team an early advantage in the spot kicks with a brilliant save.
He went on to score the final and winning spot kick to win the game 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 aggregate score.
Pirates are through to the semi-final of the ongoing 2021-22 CAF Confederation Cup competition.
