Ghanaian champions FC Samartex have made an impressive debut in the CAF Champions League, securing a crucial victory against Cameroonian side Victoria United on Sunday.
The Timber Giants displayed remarkable resilience and determination, earning an important away win in the first leg of their preliminary round matchup.
The match, held at the Japoma Stadium, saw a tense and goalless first half, with both teams struggling to break the deadlock. Victoria United initially dominated the early stages, but Samartex’s defense remained solid, keeping the home team at bay.
