Dreams FC have defeated Kallon FC 2-1 in the first leg of the final preliminary round in the 2023/2024 CAF Confederation Cup.
Dreams hosted the first lef of their CAF Confederation Cup tie against the Sierra Leone club at the Accra Sports Stadium on Friday, September 15, 2023.
In a keenly contested battle, the experience John Antwi rose to the occasion to win the game for Dreams FC when Kallon FC thought they were leaving Accra with a 1-1 draw.
Dreams FC started the game as the better team and they took the lead in the 15th minute through Godfred Atuahene.
The home side had the chance to double their lead with the numerous chances they created but they couldn’t capitalized on it.
The visitors restored the game to parity just before the halt time whistle and the first half ended 1-1.
Dreams returned from the break searching for the winner and they got it through the experience John Antwi.
The Dawu-based club wil be going to Sierra Leone for the second leg with a 2-1 advantage.
