Italian-born Ghanaian international Caleb Ekuban continued his fine form as Genoa C.F.C. thrashed Torino FC 3‑0 at the Estadio Luigi Ferraris in round 26 of the Serie A.
The scoring began in the 21st minute when English international Brooke Norton-Cuffy opened the lead for Genoa. Ekuban then doubled the advantage just before halftime with a well-timed strike, giving the home side control of the game. In the closing stages, Brazilian Junior Messias added a third to seal a comfortable victory.
This season, Ekuban has now scored three goals and provided one assist in 20 league appearances. Genoa sit 14th on the Serie A table with 27 points and are set to face league leaders away in their next fixture.
Although Ekuban has not featured for the Black Stars for several years, he remains eligible and is expected to be considered for Ghana’s 2026 FIFA World Cup squad. His recent performances at club level will surely strengthen his case for inclusion.
Ekuban’s brace against Torino highlights his consistency and importance to Genoa as they fight to improve their league standing.
