Cameroon’s newly appointed head coach, Marc Brys, has announced his inaugural squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches against Cape Verde and Angola.
The 62-year-old Belgian tactician’s squad is headed by Manchester United’s goalkeeper Andre Onana.
Brighton & Hove Albion’s young midfielder Carlos Baleba is named in the squad, much to the delight of Cameroon football fans.
Andre Zambo Anguissa, Bryan Mbeumo, Chupo Moting, Frank Magri and Clinton Njie are all included.
Vincent Aboubakar misses out.
Cameroon will host Cape Verde and travel to Angola in June’s MD3 and 4 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
Cameroon, Cape Verde and Libya all have 4 points apiece heading into the next games.
