Head coach of the Black Galaxies Annor Walker says Ghana’s game against Sudan on Thursday is a must-win for them.
Ghana faces Sudan in their second group game after losing to Madagascar in their opening game last weekend.
Sudan’s best finish at the competition was a third-place position during the 2018 finish while Ghana has been to the finals twice without winning any.
Speaking ahead of the clash on Thursday, Walker stated that it is important his side wins the game to stand a chance of making it to the next round of the competition.
“Yes, it’s a must-win for us. We suffered a painful defeat to Madagascar in our first match,” he said.
“The defeat has disturbed our campaign but we have a must-win game [today] to correct our wrongs. We know anything aside a win will not help us so we are focused on doing our job tomorrow. We will go into the game with everything we can do to win [today].
The game with Sudan kicks off at 7PM.
