NPP’s Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has waded into the new Black Stars coach brouhaha following a reported rift between the government of Ghana and the Football Association.
The Majority leader in Ghana’s Parliament, Mensah Bonsu believes the right man for Ghana’s job is former Premier League coach Chris Hughton.
According to him, the former Brighton and Hove Albion gaffer is the man to take Ghana to the next level with his coaching expertise.
The politician says former Ghana player, Otto Addo is just a second coach for Dortmund and is not good enough to coach the Ghana team.
“Chris Hughton is a coach who knows how to build with average materials and that’s Ghana’s situation now.
Our materials are not good so we need Chris to weld. Otto Addo is just a second coach for Dortmund”, he told Angel FM in an interview.
His comments comes after a reported rift between the government and the Ghana Football Association as they both disagree with each others choice for the Ghana coaching role.
According to reports the Ghana government are keen to have Chris Hughton as the next Black Stars coach whiles the FA are in favour of Otto Addo to take the vacant coaching position.
