Charles-Jesaja Hermann found the net in Waldhof Mannheim’s 3-1 victory over Preussen Münster in the German third division.
The German-born Ghanaian forward didn’t start the match at the Preußen-Stadion; he entered the field in the 63rd minute, subbing in for Pascal Sohm.
Just before halftime, a crucial play unfolded as Lockl delivered a cross to Kelvin Arase, who was positioned at the right corner of the penalty area. Arase, in turn, passed the ball to Fridolin Wagner, who skillfully curled it into the bottom left corner from approximately 20 meters, giving Waldhof Mannheim a 1-0 lead.
In the 55th minute, Pascal Sohm of SV Waldhof Mannheim extended the lead to 2-0 with a header from the center of the box, assisted by Per Lockl.
However, the two-goal lead was short-lived. Less than two minutes later, Wagner fouled Joel Grodowski in the penalty area. Grodowski stepped up and converted the penalty, narrowing the score to 2-1.
Jesaja Herrmann sealed the victory for the away side with a right-footed shot from the center of the box into the center of the goal.
Waldhof Mannheim’s next league fixture is against Ulm.
