Hearts of Oak Head Coach Aboubakar Ouattara praised his players’ dedication following their commanding 2-0 win against Medeama SC on Friday night in Tarkwa.
This victory marks a significant step for Hearts of Oak as they continue their climb up the Ghana Premier League table.
Speaking after the match, Ouattara highlighted the importance of hard work, discipline, and team unity as the foundations of their performance.
“This is football. We won because of our hard work. We will keep working hard, and for the next match, we will put in even more effort. Every game, we step onto the pitch aiming to win. When we don’t succeed, we regroup and return to the training ground to improve,” he shared.
The match began with an intense first half that ended in a scoreless draw, with both teams pressing for control. Hearts of Oak returned in the second half with renewed focus, eventually breaking the deadlock in the 63rd minute when Kwabena Boateng slotted home the opener. Mawuli Wayo added the second goal in the 87th minute, securing the three points for the Phobians.
This win further elevates Hearts of Oak’s league position and strengthens their aspirations to challenge for the title in the 2024/25 season.
