Newly-appointed Hearts of Oak Coach, Aboubakar Ouattara has made changes to the club’s leadership on the pitch.
According to the report, Kofi Agbesimah has been named as the new captain of the team, replacing Abdul Nurudeen Aziz who was given the armband at the start of the season.
The hardworking defender joined the club at the start of the current campaign from Bechem United and has been a mainstay in the Phobians defense.
Agbesimah, captained the team in their recent matches, including the 2-1 win against Nsoatreman and the 3-0 mauling of RTU.
The centre-back will now permanently wear the captain’s armband, taking over from Abdul Aziz whose Hearts of Oak career has been plugged with injuries.
Richard Attah will serve as the first deputy captain with Kelvin Osei Assibey will be the second deputy captain.
The newly appointed leadership team is expected to make a positive impact on the team as they seek to bounce back from a challenging first round of the season.
In the meantime, Hearts will host Bofoakwa Tano at the Accra Sports Stadium in a Ghana Premier League matchweek 20 fixture.
The Phobians are aiming for their third successive win under coach Ouattara.
