Otto Addo, the head coach of the Black Stars, believes Ghana has a strong chance to qualify for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Despite acknowledging the tough nature of the upcoming qualification matches against Mali and the Central African Republic, Addo remains confident in the team’s abilities.

Speaking before Ghana’s friendly against Uganda, Addo mentioned the team’s current position in the World Cup qualifiers. Ghana has won one match and lost another, putting them slightly behind in Group I. However, Addo emphasized that the group is still open, with every possibility on the table.

Addo revealed the team’s preparation strategy, which includes analyzing the playing style of their upcoming opponents. They plan to watch Comoros and Mali closely to better understand their tactics and strengths. Addo emphasized the importance of thorough preparation to avoid surprises during the crucial matches.

Despite being behind in the standings, Addo expressed optimism about Ghana’s chances in the upcoming matches. He believes the team has the potential to secure victories against Mali and the Central African Republic, ultimately enhancing their position in the qualifiers.

The qualification matches against Mali and the Central African Republic are scheduled for June. These matches will be pivotal for Ghana’s World Cup aspirations, and Addo and his team are determined to give their best performance.

As the head coach, Addo is focused on maximizing the team’s strengths and addressing any weaknesses. He understands the significance of strategic planning and effective execution on the field.

Ghana’s qualification journey may pose challenges, but Addo remains committed to guiding the team to success. With thorough preparation and determination, he believes Ghana can achieve their goal of qualifying for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
