In a surprising turn of events, coach Kasim Mingle has decided to part ways with Bechem United and join the newly-promoted club Nations FC, according to confirmation from Bechem United General Manager, Lord Zico.

The Hunters under the guidance of Kasim Mingle came close to winning the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League season but finished in the 3rd spot with 54 points.

While expressing his disappointment at Mingle’s departure, Lord Zico clarified that the coach did not have a contract with Bechem United. He emphasized the club’s efforts to retain Mingle, stating, “We have done everything on our part for him to have stayed. He didn’t have a contract with us. If Mingle goes, another Mingle will come.

Despite Bechem United’s best efforts, Mingle has chosen to pursue a different opportunity with Nations FC. This unexpected move has provided Bechem United with a valuable lesson, as Lord Zico admitted.

However, Lord Zico remained optimistic about Bechem United’s future, expressing confidence that the team would continue to move forward even without Mingle. He conveyed his admiration for Kasim Mingle, describing him as a “perfect gentleman,” and extended his best wishes to the coach as he embarks on a new chapter with Nations FC.

We only paid the enticement fee when he joined us. This has become a lesson for us. But where he’s going he will definitely meet us in the league. Kasim is a perfect gentleman and we wish him the best” – Bechem United General Manager, Lord Zico on Kessben Sports.

The departure of Kasim Mingle marks a significant change for both Bechem United and the coach himself. As Bechem United adjusts to this transition, they will undoubtedly be on the lookout for a suitable replacement to maintain their competitiveness in the league.

Nations FC is one of the three Division One League Clubs who have qualified for the Ghana Premier League next season.

The Blues had 69 points after 29 matches, having deduced from solid 21 wins, six draws and two defeats since the start of the season.

As part of measures to establish themselves in the topflight, Nations FC will be announcing Kasim Mingle as their new head coach for next season.

Meanwhile, Johnson Smith is expected to serve as the assistant coach.
